Hey everyone! I’m somewhat confused about the Deep Summer and Dark Summer palettes—both supposedly complement my features, but when I pull out clothes marked for each, I get mixed feelings about whether the colors really suit me or just look off. I have a deep teal sweater labeled Deep Summer and a dark navy piece tagged Dark Summer. They feel close in tone, yet sometimes one makes my skin look radiant while the other washes me out. Is it just me stressing over details, or are the palette boundaries really that blurry?
I’ve been trying to sort my wardrobe so I’m not mixing these colors haphazardly, but most online explanations use very imprecise descriptions like muted, cool, or deep without clear side-by-side comparisons. The color ranges overlap a lot, and I wonder if a color is distinctly tied to one palette or just falls in the same zone.
To clear this up, I found a visual comparison gallery showing key colors for both palettes side by side deep summer color palette . It helped a bit, but I’m still uncertain about the boundaries. Are the purples sufficiently distinct, or do I rely on how a color appears in natural light? Do people find Deep Summer suits softer and cooler shades while Dark Summer is more intense?
If anyone has worked with both palettes or examples where a color worked for one but clashed with the other, I’d really appreciate hearing about it. Trying to be more mindful of my outfit decisions instead of guessing. Thanks for any advice or personal experience!
